Peter O'Toole (1932-2013)

What's more ridiculous: that he was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar eight times without winning once (okay, he got an honorary Oscar in '03) or that I haven't seen any of the films for which he was nominated, including classics like Lawrence of Arabia and The Lion in Winter?

Even so, I enjoyed him in comparatively lesser works like Stardust and High Spirits (not to mention a delightful vocal performance in Ratatouille).

Certainly, he will be missed.

P.S. The exchange between him and the recently departed Richard Griffiths at the beginning of King Ralph always makes me laugh.
