Just Married (don't ask): in the French hotel, after Tom and Sarah short out the electricity with their...toy (and as Roger Ebert pointed out in his review, your relationship isn't going that well to rely on such a marital aid), the owner yells at them (as well he should), insulting Tom in French. Sarah translated it pretty quickly, so why didn't they notice (and she translate) the sign warning them against foreign electrical implements?
