"The one they can't resist."

In the last week, there's been a run on tainted pet food. As it turns out, the culprit is rat poison that somehow ended up in the mix. A handful of animals have died and many more are ill.

As an animal lover, this is truly a tragic event...though I can't help but be reminded of one of Saturday Night Live's best ever ad parodies. I would love more than anything to post a clip, but they don't exist, so here's a transcript.

Update: (7/12/09) - It may have taken a couple years, but I found a site that has the ad. It's cut off at the end, but the fact that someone uploaded it at all is a blessing:
