Last month's trip to Comic-Con made something clear to me: I want more out of life than I'm getting. I was planning a day trip to Toronto (and, just this morning, I figured that I could sync the trip with the Toronto film festival), but my passport application - which I've had for months - would take six weeks to process. Sadly, I must push the trip back to October. According to this site, there's quite a bit to look forward to.

This got me to thinking: with no friends, acquaintances or (non-immediate family) attachments of any kind to speak of, I just wonder how I'm going to get by when it comes to heading West as I would very much like to do (I mean, have you seen the revival theaters in Los Angeles?).

Yeah, I've been blocked on what to post here. I really should've, at least, attempted an Expendables/Scott Pilgrim review or a 'Track Listings' post. I'd like to say that something big is coming to the blog, but there isn't, aside from the inevitable 'Fall movie preview' post.

I've even had to backdate this post.

Double-feature day is tomorrow! I'm actually more excited about tomorrow than I was about going to Comic-Con. Go figure.

At the tail end of three days of vacation. I got some writing done, which is always nice, but I'm anxiously awaiting my work schedule for next week so I can find out when I get to double-feature The Expendables and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (and I know I'm not the only person doing this).

I won three online auctions yesterday for specialty soundtracks.

I forgot how awesome it is to enter (and win) those things.

Yeah, is it possible to be sick for eight days straight? And, if so, who the fuck allowed that to happen?!
