Well, I'm not sure if my account was hacked or there's another user with this screen handle and Disqus thought it'd be easier to merge the accounts, but a handful of posts are credited to 'lonestarr357' having posted at TMZ and, well, I wouldn't be caught dead there.

Definitely want to nip this in the bud before I'm credited for saying something that results in a bannable offense.

The Adventures of Captain Zoom in Outer Space (Shirley Walker)

The peaceful rebels of the planet Pangea are under siege by the vicious Lord Vox (Ron Perlman) and they could use a hero. Unfortunately, the best they can do is an actor (Daniel Riordan) best known to TV audiences as Captain Zoom. Not as well known as the later Galaxy Quest, but just as entertaining, with amusing lines and a game cast.

Shirley Walker provides some exciting action cues as well as quieter moments that, surprisingly, aren't diminished by the budget-dictated inclusion of electronics. Topping it off is an appropriately rousing main theme put through a number of permutations, from the amusingly cheesy organ version for the TV scenes to a particularly lovely rendition in "Stargazing".

It's funny that, on YouTube, one of the recommended videos for Maurice Jarre's Firefox was John Scott's The Final Countdown. I've long felt that Firefox is just how The Final Countdown's theme would've sounded if Jarre scored it.

Just a little something something to bump my post. That middle gif of Homer lunging is scarier than it had any right to be.

I did see Infinity War and, suffice it to say, I am glad it wasn't spoiled.

In the meantime, until I post something more substantive, pretend the previous post applies to Deadpool 2.

Another lesson from Mandy.

Not sure why people had to go and fudge with the order of things (i.e. releasing certain movies earlier than they ought be released), but all the same, this Saturday is Free Comic Book Day, so...

Here's hoping we understand one another.
